2025 Restore Grant Program is Now Accepting Applications

Restore Grant Program

The Restore Grant Program, administered by Zero Foodprint, is now accepting grant applications to implement on-farm practices that improve soil health and sequester atmospheric carbon. Application deadline is February 19, 2025. Contact Bailey Smith-Helman at bsmithhelman@ucanr.edu or call 831-239-9465 for grant application assistance.

The Restore Grant Program funds practices such as compost application, installing alley cropping, cover cropping, or conservation cover crops. Funds are available from $1,500 (minimum grant request) to $25,000 (maximum grant request) to implement at least one approved practice. More information about approved practices can be found in the grant application packet.

These funds are designed to encourage broader adoption of regenerative agricultural practices and increase awareness of and demand for ingredients produced with regenerative agricultural practices. The adoption of practices listed in the grant program will help improve soil health, water and nutrient management, and increase the value of the agricultural operation.

Applications are open 01/15/2025 through 02/19/2025 for California farmers and ranchers Learn more about this grant opportunity and apply at zerofoodprint.org/apply.
